Springtech Partners is a team of experienced serial entrepreneurs based in Berlin, Germany and Miami, USA with a long time experience in building companies in different markets. We finance our companies’ growth either through our own existing cash flows or by partnering with leading international venture capital firms.
Our mission is to create great companies which have a real and long-lasting impact on their markets. Therefore, we are looking for outstanding entrepreneurs with disruptive business ideas that want to build successful companies with our help and that want to create real and lasting value.
In addition to investing money we also bring along our extensive experience, know-how and large networks in Europe as well as in the US. We partner as strategic angel investors or if needed even as co-founders, who actively engage in the operations. We give advice on the operational level, but also the strategic long-term prospective, bring access to our network for recruitment, fundraising, industry experts, and external software development.
We ourselves are coaching entrepreneurs and offer detailed help during your company’s journey from bootstrapping, to pivoting a business, to supporting your fundraising process, and ultimately in negotiating a potential investment round with the right investors.
Daniel is a serial entrepreneur from Berlin, Germany. Daniel originally started his first business - Digital Media agency B&F (outperformedia.de) - with his long-time partner Sebastian Funke, before co-founding gaming company smeet.com end of 2006. Smeet raised €12 million venture capital, grew to more than 30 million users over time and millions in annual revenues, before exiting it in a Management Buyout together with Angaros Group mid of 2014. End of 2012 Daniel also co-founded and bootstrapped eCommerce startup Gourmesso.com, which advanced to be the online market leader for Nespresso compatible coffee capsules in Germany and the US, being profitable within the first three months and revenues of +$3 million in the first 18 months. His newest project is yummchef.com - a NYC-based restaurant/chef marketplace for mealkits.
Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Daniel earned an M.B.A. at the Technical University of Berlin and University of California, Berkeley. After graduation Daniel went into Management Consulting and ultimately held a position as Senior Project Manager at Homburg & Partner - a strategy consulting boutique specializing in Marketing, Sales, and Pricing – servicing fortune500-companies globally. His former career background is dominated by consulting positions at companies like Corporate Value Associates, BBDO Germany, et al.
Sebastian co-founded his first company, Smeet Communications GmbH, in 2006 a technology/internet gaming start-up with activities in over 20 countries in 9 languages, for which he raised € 12 million in VC funding and which he exited through a management buyout in 2014. Further co-founded ventures include Gourmesso, Capital Apps Berlin, Stoyo Media among others. Through his ventures he has won several awards including Made in .de - award from John Melone or the Red Herring Top 100 European start-ups award. Sebastian is deeply involved in Berlin start-up scene including mentorship positions with Axel Springer Plug & Play and the Start-Up Bootcamp in Berlin.
Sebastian holds a double-degree MBA from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Before starting his entrepreneurial career he worked for international companies including McKinsey & Company and JPMorgan.
Mark was a Venture Partner of Project A Ventures from 2012 – 2016. He was responsible for building new ventures, B2B SaaS, international activities and mobile. Project A has created more than 40 different companies, active in more than 30 countries worldwide.
Prior to Project A, Mark was co-founder of Mexican e-commerce platform clickOnero.com.mx, scaling it to one of Mexico`s largest e-commerce platforms. Mark worked also for McKinsey & Company in digital and mobile projects in Europe, Middle East and South East Asia. Moreover he is an active business angel, having invested in leading European consumer startups.
Mark holds a masters degree in business administration from WHU Koblenz. During his studies he gained experience at JP Morgan, Bain & Company and Goldman Sachs.
